Music creators deserve equal treatment when it comes to royalties regardless of their nationality.
In the U.S., all music creators are treated equally under the law. That is, all music creators are entitled to receive the same types of royalties regardless of their nationality. Other countries choose to refuse royalties rightfully earned by music creators because their home country has a different scope of rights and protections for sound recordings. This isn’t right.
Put simply: It’s time to end unfair treatment in the global trade of music.
