American Music
Fairness Act
When Congress passes the American Music Fairness Act, artists and rights owners will finally get paid for their work when their songs are played on AM/FM radio. Right now, the United States joins countries like Cuba, Iran, and North Korea in denying artists fair pay. Even Russia and China pay artists when their songs play on AM/FM radio. Over the last century, radio broadcasters have made an estimated $700 billion in ad revenues from the music they played – without giving a penny to the artists.
